Editor's note: Eight themed travel routes in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, were unveiled during the Nantong "Hao Tong You" cultural and tourism consumption promotion season on May 19 to mark the 12th China Tourism Day.
As one of the birthplaces of modern industry in China, Nantong has made remarkable achievements in economic development in recent years. The following travel routes connect the industrial remains and modern industrial parks in the city.
Travel route for wine industry

The Yisheng Cultural Park was built on the site of the Yisheng Winery built by Zhang Jian (1853-1926), a Nantong-born renowned industrial magnate, educator, and scholar in 1894. It includes a Yisheng Wine Culture Museum, a winemaking exhibition hall, and century-old wine pits.
The Rugao Silk Carpet Art Museum is the oldest silk carpet museum in China and the second oldest in the world, following the Carpet Museum of Iran. The museum houses 210 sets of silk carpets, including many featuring paintings by renowned artists from China and abroad.
Mattisu is a renowned Chinese pastry producer in Nantong, and its products, including self-created Mattisu, Suzhou-style moon cakes, and peanut candies, are popular among customers.
