Shi Jianyi, inheritor of Shi Family martial arts from Hebei province, inaugurated a training base for martial arts in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on June 5.

Mianzhangquan, one aspect of Shi Family martial arts, is a national intangible heritage item and a provincial intangible heritage item of Hebei province.

Shi decided to establish the training base in his ancestral home of Nantong to promote Shi Family martial arts in the city. It will be operated by his student Huang Yanfei.
