Nantong Museum Union established

The Nantong Museum Union was established in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province on May 18 to mark the 46th International Museum Day.

The union includes 30 museums and five other cultural establishments in the city.

Members of the union will share their collections with each other and work together to organize cultural activities, develop creative and cultural products, and cultivate talent to further improve the quality of museums around the city.

Thirty museums in the city also showcased their creative products and offered 65 exhibitions, including 30 online exhibitions, on International Museum Day.

Nantong is ranked first in the province in terms of the number and quality of museums. Last year, the combined visitor numbers for all the museums in Nantong was more than 3.7 million tourists, up 10 percent year-on-year.
