Rudong county – administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – is home to China's first solar power plant that integrates fish farming and photovoltaic power generation.

Generating clean energy above the water and breeding aquatic products under water, the project makes efficient use of the county's generous energy resources.

In the first quarter of the current year, the solar power generation projects in Rudong generated 53 million kilowatts of on-grid electricity.
