The Haohe River, located in the heart of the Chongchuan district – the main urban area of Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – is one of the best-protected ancient moats in China, with a history stretching back over 1,000 years.

After years of careful management and protection, the area along the wonderful Haohe River has grown into an ever-popular national 5A-level tourist attraction, that deftly integrates natural and cultural landscapes and is open to the public at no charge. [Photo/ntfabu.com]
