A project with an investment of $105 million was signed at the Suzhou-Wuxi-Nantong Science and Technology Park, or Suxitong industrial park, in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, during an online signing ceremony on April 6.

The project will include a pet supply operating center with an expected daily turnover of 21 million metric tons as well as an e-commerce platform for pet-related items.

The project will make full use of resources provided by investors and shareholders such as supply chains, social media, and social media influencers in an effort to tap into the huge Chinese pet supply market.

Since the start of this year, the Suxitong industrial park has secured more than 20 projects, including two projects with a total investment of more than 1 billion yuan ($157.19 million) and one joint-venture project worth over $100 million.

Suxitong industrial park, founded in 2020, is a merger between Suzhou-Nantong Science and Technology Park and Wuxi-Nantong Science and Technology Park.

The industrial park has been studying the examples set by Singapore, Austria, and Suzhou in operating a successful industrial park, and has ramped up efforts to attract investment, create a favorable business environment, and cultivate competent industrial systems.

Currently, the park is focusing on the construction of an industrial system centering on intelligent equipment, electronic information, life health, and modern services.
