Unlike other farms, Chen never hires temporary workers. The 18 staff he has get to work throughout the year and each of them are assigned specific roles.

Of the 80 greenhouses, two are used as experimental greenhouses. Whenever new varieties are introduced to the market, Chen will buy some seeds to see if they are suitable for growing in Rugao's soil.
