Unlike its competitors, the Baiyuan Plaza Qidong in Lyusi town, Qidong, Nantong, exhibits 861 intangible cultural heritage items, making it seem more like a museum than regular hotel.

These items include copper sculptures, colored glaze, porcelain, lacquerware, and brocade. The grandest exhibits are the two pieces of Shen embroidery that measure 7 meters in length and 1.8 meters in width in the lobby.

The guest rooms from the sixth to 21st floors highlight different intangible cultural heritage themes and signs have even been placed on each floor to introduce the intangible cultural heritage items.

The 14 dining rooms for Chinese cuisine in the hotel are decorated in the style of the 14 different Chinese ethnic groups, including the Manchu, the Mongolian ethnic group, and the Zhuang.

During holiday periods, the hotel will invite inheritors of intangible cultural heritage items to demonstrate their skills to the guests.

Lyusi is nicknamed the "town of crane" as a legend goes that the Taoist immortal Lyu Dongbin flew on a crane to visit Lyusi four times. In Baiyuan Plaza Qidong, 100 cranes are hidden on screens, stone carving works, and embroidery works.
