Nantong Global Technology Co Ltd – located in the Chongchuan district of Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is said to be a company really on the move, after announcing on March 4 it had completed its latest round of financing and that it had received 200 million yuan ($31.64 million).

Founded at the end of 2016, Global Technology is a high-tech group that supplies the country's auto industry, among others. It focuses on research and development of intelligent chassis-by-wire technology – integrating R&D, design, production, sales and the services of related products.

The company's products are used by leading Chinese auto manufacturers including Chery, Geely, BYD and Wuling.

In 2019, Global Technology was rated as a potential unicorn enterprise among Jiangsu's high-tech industrial development zones, being the only one in Nantong. The term unicorn usually refers to unlisted startups that have been established for less than 10 years and have a market valuation of more than $1 billion.

One year later, the company got the green light to build a provincial engineering research center for intelligent automobile driving systems.
