Locals are said to have had a real ball at a recent fun party held at the Nantong Tibetan Nationality Middle School – located in the Chongchuan district of Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province – to celebrate the Lantern Festival, which falls on Feb 15 this year.

At the party on Feb 13, over 40 Tibetan students dressed in ethnic costumes, lined up to guess lantern riddles. They also tried their hands at a raft of other activities.

These included making paper-cut window decorations and lanterns decorated with the Bing Dwen Dwen and Shuey Rhon Rhon – mascots of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics – expressing their best wishes for the grand ongoing event.
