Qidong announces fresh initiative on nucleic acid tests
In a bid to ensure the quality of residents' lives and their health safety, the office in charge of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control in Qidong – a county-level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – has acted.
It made a decision on Jan 12 that a free nucleic acid test will be provided to those who come or return to the city from regions outside Jiangsu province around the time of the Spring Festival.
From Jan 14 to Feb 15, people who come or go back to Qidong with a record of traveling to regions outside Jiangsu within 14 days, will qualify to have a nucleic acid test free of charge. The test will be available from 8 am to 5 pm every day.
Those who have a "*" mark on their digital travel records – meaning that they traveled to low-risk areas in the administrative divisions, where a medium or high-risk area is located within 14 days – can take the test during the 3 pm – 5 pm period.
