Qidong-made ship loader to be used in Qingdao
A new mechanical ships loader will be transported to a port in Qingdao city – located in East China's Shandong province – and used for the mass loading of coal and ore. [Video by Xu Congjun/ntfabu.com]
Preparations for the shipment of the ships loader – built by Qidong-based Watts Energy and Engineering – have been completed. It took the firm 10 months to complete the construction of the machine which will be transported and installed at berth 63 at the Qingdao Qianwan Terminal.
It is the first time that Watts-made port equipment is being used at Qingdao port. The ships loader has a rated handling capacity of 4,500 tons per hour and a maximum capacity of 5,400 tons per hour.
