A proposal was raised on Jan 3 that kind-hearted enterprises and compassionate individuals in the Chongchuan district of Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province donate medical supplies to Liuba, Foping and Ningqiang counties – administered by Hanzhong city in Northwest China's Shaanxi province – for the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.

Nantong Haihui Technology Development Co Ltd, based in the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone in Chongchuan, immediately contacted his sub-district and donated 26,000 KN95 face masks to Foping county.

Haihui Technology is a high-tech firm producing shirts and lining cloth. Due to the pandemic, two KN95 face mask production lines were set up there last year.

After hearing that sites for isolation observation and checkpoints on trunk roads in Liuba, Foping and Ningqiang counties were in urgent need of supplies, the group immediately sorted and packaged the KN95 face masks and delivered them to Foping on Jan 4.

"Since Nantong and Hanzhong has a pairing relationship, we should try our best to help them overcome difficulties," said Cao Ping, chairman and general manager of Haihui Technology.
