The signing and groundbreaking ceremony for a raft of projects took place on Dec 24 at the City North Hi-Tech Zone – located in the Chongchuan district of Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province.

Eight projects signed up to settle in the City North Hi-Tech Zone and four projects kicked off construction.

Hu Yongjun, Party secretary of Chongchuan, delivered a keynote speech, pointing out that Chongchuan had stayed on course for high-quality development through sci-tech innovation. The City North Hi-Tech Zone, as an important part of Nantong's sci-tech innovation belt along the Yangtze River, is said to have a high sustainable development capacity.

The projects signed and started are expected to galvanize the development of life health industry in the zone and contribute to Chongchuan's development. The Party committee and government of the district is known to be providing strong support for investors – in terms of implementing attractive policies, building platforms and whole-process service management.

In recent years, the City North Hi-Tech Zone has continued to focus on the life and health industry. Providing the main direction – to achieve high-value development – has been research and development of new drugs, innovative medical devices, precision medicines, genetic testing, in vitro diagnoses and special-needs food and medicine.
