Bihai Yinsha Scenic Area nominated as 4A-level tourist attraction

The Bihai Yinsha Scenic Area in Qidong, a county-level city administered by Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province was nominated as a 4A-level tourist attraction by the Jiangsu provincial department of culture and tourism on Dec 14.

The Bihai Yinsha Scenic Area is located in the eastern part of Yuantuojiao Resort and the intersection of the Yangtze River, the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea.

The area's location has endowed the scenic area with abundant tourism resources.

As the easternmost part of Jiangsu province, it is the first place in the Yangtze River Delta where tourists can see the sun rise.

In the scenic area, the Yellow Sea is separated from an artificial blue bay by a dam, and this gives the area a unique seascape.

The scenic area has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Yangtze River Delta. Since its establishment, it has attracted more than 1 million tourists annually.

The scenic area will next aim to become a national demonstration zone for regional tourism and receive more than 10 million tourists every year.
