The finals of the 2021 JCET Cup Jiangsu Provincial Fashion Design Competition of Textile and Apparel Colleges took place on Dec 11 at the Jiangsu College of Engineering and Technology, or JCET, located in the Chongchuan district of Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province.

Themed on "Oriental Impressions", the competition is always hard-fought. It received 872 works from 34 professional colleges, from all around the province, with 31 fashion collections entering into the finals. [Photo/CFP]

The event was also an international invitational for the students of fashion design colleges from the countries involving in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Colleges of the International Alliance of Textile & Fashion Vocational Education actively took part and design works from colleges in Thailand and Uzbekistan were displayed at the finals.

All the ready-to-wear entries incorporate new materials and technical processes – showcasing the traditional Chinese aesthetic image, as well as being creative and practical. [Photo/CFP]
