Qidong-made dual fuel LPG carrier delivered

Shipyard Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering Co Ltd on Dec 6 delivered the world's first 5,000-cubic-meter dual fuel liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carrier it has built to its owner Hartmann Group, in Qidong, a county-level city of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province.
The delivery ceremony was held via online methods.
Situated in the Qidong Marine Engineering and Shipbuilding Industrial Park, the company, also known as CIMC SOE, is one of China's leading shipyards that build gas carriers. It is committed to research and development, and construction of clean energy equipment, and environment-friendly gas carriers.
The shipyard has now built and handed over more than 30 vessels that transport LPG, liquefied ethylene gas and liquefied natural gas – establishing a leading global market share in its sector. It is reportedly committed to providing customers with energy-saving, environmentally-friendly and technologically-innovative professional liquefied gas transport solutions.
With the length not exceeding 100 meters, CIMC SOE deeply optimized the shape and arrangement of the hull, based on the concept of "green, environment-friendly, low-carbon and safe". Compared with traditional LPG vessel, it has the advantages of low fuel consumption, and environmental protection. The comprehensive performance reaches the international advanced level.
