Lyusi port area of Tongzhou Bay to open soon
The main section of the Lyusi port area – located in the county-level city of Qidong, administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – has been completed and is scheduled to start operating by the end of 2021, local media reported.
The Lyusi port area is regarded as a key part of the Tongzhou Bay demonstration area which is positioned as having a pivotal role in the Yangtze River Economic Belt development strategy – being one of the core units of the Yangtze River Delta port group, as well as a container hub located at the north wing of the Shanghai international shipping center. Relying on digitalization and informatization means, a coordinated control and management platform is established to realize information sharing between ships, containers and port logistics.
