Journalists from overseas Chinese media visit Nantong

Journalists from more than 10 Chinese media outlets in Malaysia, Egypt, Germany, Russia, and the United States as well as three of China's media outlets about overseas Chinese visited the Nantong Eminent Figures Museum in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province on Oct 29.
The journalists visited the Contemporary Pavilion, which showcases the leading figures in technology, sports fields and business circles who are born or living in Nantong.
There are 49 academicians who are born, studying or living in Nantong and 128 young and middle-aged science and technology talents in Nantong who are contributing to China's science and technology development.
Dubbed the "hometown of sports and the cradle of world champions", Nantong is home to seven Olympic champions and 14 world champions.
Located within the 5A-level Haohe scenic area, the Nantong Eminent Figures Museum opened to the public on June 29 and displays information about 1,034 people in Nantong from ancient times to the contemporary era.
The visit to Nantong is part of the journalists' tour of Jiangsu, which is sponsored by the Federation of Jiangsu Returned Overseas Chinese. The six-day tour, which commenced on Oct 26, will take the visitors to other cities including Suzhou and Nanjing.
