The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce recently announced its list of pilot communities for digital commerce.

A total of 34 communities made the list, including Changbei community in Wenfeng sub-district, Chongchuan district and Rixin community in Haimen sub-district, Haimen district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.

E-commerce is an important consumption channel and a boon to economic development. In recent years, Nantong has promoted the integration of the online and offline development of the modern service industry and enhanced the development of commerce digitalization and intelligentization in communities.

The two selected communities strive to build themselves into important platforms for improving people's lives, promote easier consumption, expand employment, and further enhance the convenience, digitalization, and quality of community commercial services.

Moving forward, the Nantong municipal commerce bureau will combine digital commerce work with the construction of a 15-minute convenient life circle, help pilot communities apply new technologies to create new business types, and increase people's sense of happiness and security.
