The 2021 China Top 500 Enterprises Summit Forum – co-sponsored by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association – was held in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province, on Sept 25.

During the forum, three lists of top 500 Chinese enterprises, top 500 Chinese manufacturing enterprises and top 500 Chinese service enterprises for 2021 were released. These reportedly showcased the overall improved business performance and better industrial structure in the country.

Jiangsu Nantong No. 2 Construction Engineering (Group) Co Ltd, also known as NT2J – based in the county-level city of Qidong, administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – did very well. It ranked 255th on the list of top 500 Chinese enterprises – 26 places higher than the previous year – with an operating revenue of 86.03 billion yuan ($13.3 billion) in 2020.

With registered capital of more than 1 billion yuan, NT2J has a technical center which has registered 32 patents for invention and 120 patents for utility models, as well as been involved in the formulation of two national or industrial standards.

With its market covering more than 100 large and medium domestic cities and dozens of countries and regions – including the United States, Canada, Israel, Thailand and Singapore – the group has been involved in a host of projects and won 63 awards, such as the Luban Prize and the State high-quality award.

It has also been listed as one of China's top 500 enterprises, 16 consecutive times.
