A jobs fair launched by Chongchuan district's human resources and social security bureau and the administrative committee of the Nantong Gangzha Economic Development Zone, or GZEDZ – featuring online recruitment interviews – was held for the zone's resident enterprises through livestreaming on Aug 12.

The GZEDZ is located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province and an online channel was built for two-way selection between employers and job seekers, to help fill the recruitment needs of the zone's businesses amid COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control protocols.

Eight leading companies based in the GZEDZ – including Jiangsu Dasheng Group, Nantong CIMC, Guosheng Intelligence Technology – were selected to participate in the event. Over 1,200 jobs in machinery manufacturing, electronics information and modern textiles were on offer.

It is understood that the livestreaming telecasts received over 57,000 views on the day.

In order to expand its employment channels, Chongchuan district's human resources and social security bureau began creating a livestreaming recruitment platform last year.

It has reportedly held a series of recruitment activities since then – both online and on-site.
