Nantong Museum has since July 31 adjusted its opening hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with no entry after 4:30 pm, according to an announcement made by the museum's administration.

The move is in response to the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Jiangsu province.

Tourists are required to present their health QR codes and ID cards and wear their masks before entering the museum.

Those who have yellow or red codes, body temperatures of 37.3 C or higher, or cough are not allowed to enter the museum.

Starting July 31, the southern, central and northern exhibition halls have been closed and the museum's offline educational activities have been canceled.

The registration system for group visits has also been temporarily suspended.

The new exhibition hall will receive no more than 200 visitors at any one time, while Haonan Bieye, the former residence of Zhang Jian, the founder of the museum, will have a visitor cap of 60 people at any one time. Visitors to these sites must make an online booking in advance.

For the latest updates on the museum's epidemic prevention and control measures, tourists can follow its official WeChat account or Weibo account, or visit the museum's official website.
