An upgraded light show at the Nantong TV Tower – located in the Chongchuan district of Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – reportedly dazzled spectators when it debuted on July 11.

The brilliant lights of the TV tower and the buildings along the Haohe River drew hordes of excited people to take a look.

The light display is controlled by computer and divided into weekday and holiday modes. Dazzling light shows are staged at 8 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

To mark the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the revamp of the Nantong TV Tower lights was initiated by the Nantong urban management bureau.

After nearly two months of installation and tests, the new evening extravaganza at the TV tower was widely pronounced a great improvement and it is now a popular feature in the city.

By enhancing the lights and creating a vivid and exciting atmosphere, the city of Nantong is reportedly aiming to raise the profile of the Haohe River and develop the Nantong TV Tower as a landmark in the Yangtze River Delta region.
