A concert performed by Nantong University's nationality orchestra was held at the Nantong Grand Theater located in Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on July 9.

The concert was co-sponsored by Nantong University, the Publicity Department of the Nantong municipal Party committee, the Nantong Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism Administration, and the Nantong Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

It is reportedly the first performance by a local professional orchestra since the official opening of the theater.

The concert was divided into two halves, featuring chamber music and orchestral music. It not only showcased Nantong University's remarkable achievements in cultivating talent, but also served as a celebration of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China by teachers and students of the Art School of Nantong University.
