In an effort to provide efficient and convenient transportation services to entrepreneurial and innovative talent who need to travel between Shanghai and Qidong – a county-level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – Qidong launched tailored transportation services on July 1, according to the city's talent office.

Talents subsidized or cultivated by Qidong's talent programs at the municipal level or above and those with at least bachelor's degrees or technician titles introduced by enterprises who have a relatively fixed residence in Shanghai and have worked in Qidong for a long time will be able to receive the service for free.

Based on investigations and surveys, Qidong's talent office and transport bureau decided to make the Qidong Coach Station and Shanghai Wujiaochang station the two terminal stations.

Passengers can book tickets through the Bus Steward (巴士管家) app or Bus Steward's WeChat mini program. Those eligible can access the express for free as long as his/her information has been certified by the government and included in the talent tank.

It has been reported that during off-peak hours, the tailored line is also open to normal residents of Shanghai and Qidong at prices approved by relevant departments.
