Lu Yongqi, an 83-year-old member of the Communist Party of China in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, recently hosted a stamp exhibition in Xindong community, Hongqiao sub district, to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.

Lu spent two months preparing for the exhibition. On display are 1,140 stamps that he has collected over the past 70 years and are divided into five categories to reflect the Party's development.

Stamps are known for often depicting the history, science, technology, economy, culture, and nature of a country or region, said Lu, who started collecting stamps when he was a student.

I can learn about history and enrich my knowledge about the world by collecting stamps, he added.

He said that his favorite stamps are those related to the Party's development.

"I have almost all the commemorative stamps for each session of the National People's Congress and country leaders," Lu said proudly.

Those on display at the exhibition are arranged in a timeline, illustrating the CPC's original aspirations and mission to seek happiness for the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
