Chongchuan district promotes supply chain management
The Chongchuan district of Nantong city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – held an investment promotion on supply chain management at the Nantong InterContinental Hotel on March 28, with nearly 300 businesses attending.
At the event, Liu Hao, Party secretary of the district, made a keynote speech in which he stated that Nantong is the beneficiary of a wealth of development opportunities, given the convergence of multiple national development strategies as well as the implementation of multiple State-level transportation hub projects.
This would help ensure that the city would become a new growth driver in Jiangsu province in the future.
Chongchuan district, located at the heart of Nantong, is said to possess abundant factors of production – labor, land, capital and entrepreneurship – and the highest urbanization levels in the city. It is leveraging them to help it take the leading strategic position in the new round of development, Liu said.
Liu added that the modern logistics industry, an important indicator of regional prosperity and progress, is acting as an accelerator to improve the efficiency of the region's commerce, as well as to optimize its economic structure and enhance its economic vitality.
It is also reportedly providing strong support for Chongchuan to establish its so-called "345" modern industrial system. This is composed of three leading industries: IT application innovation, the internet of vehicles and artificial intelligence.
Then there are also the four support industries of electronics information, high-end equipment, new materials and green building – and finally the five functional industries of high-end trading, modern finance, professional services, culture and tourism and health maintenance.
Liu added that Chongchuan would strive to build a high-quality channel for commerce and create the best environment possible for business.
Huang Weifeng, head of Chongchuan, presided over the promotion and called for the development via the event of a channel for communications and exchanges between the district government and entrepreneurs, to further expand cooperation.
Huang noted that businesses were welcome to visit and invest in Chongchuan and the district would spare no effort in providing comprehensive and efficient services.
The Linsen Logistics Group is a leading service provider in China. Linsen's president Shen Lin told the event that his company would push to become a modern intelligent logistics enterprise through digital transformation.
Another participant – Nantong Yueya Semiconductor Co Ltd – is a leading enterprise in the integrated circuit packaging substrate manufacturing industry in China.
General manager Xie Fengxia told the event the company would stay the course with scientific and technological innovation and continue to expand. It would grow together with Chongchuan district and help provide strong momentum for the district's IC industry development, Xie pledged.
