With the temperature continuing to rise, spring is just around the corner. Some 1.5 million tulips planted in Qidong, Nantong are now in bloom, forming a vivid and multicolored sea of flowers against the glistening waves in the estuary of the Yangtze River.

The kaleidoscopic scene also heralds in the opening of the annual tulip expo, which will fall on March 20 this year.

The organizers have said that this year's expo will be larger than the previous one, with more than 30 varieties of tulips covering nearly 50,000 square meters of area.

In addition to admiring the flowers, a range of activities will be staged -- including entertainment activities for the kids, a huge kite display and a campfire party in the evening -- to stir up some more fun for the visitors.

This year's expo will run to April 5. Don't miss it!
