Nantong tourism projects included in provincial list
The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism recently released a list of 70 provincial key culture and tourism projects for 2021, including an international cruise port and sea gulf projects in Nantong, local media outlets reported.
Both projects are sponsored by China Merchants Shekou Holdings, a park development and operation arm of China Merchants Group.

The international cruise port was approved for construction in August 2020. It will be built at the foot of Langshan Mountain, making Nantong the second city in East China, following Shanghai, to have a cruise port.
The port will feature a 10-tonnage berth, two 5-tonnage berths, and several small ones for the yachts of local residents.
Officials said that the project will help develop the area that it is located in into an international community featuring international education, business, housing, and more services.
The sea gulf project, co-developed by China Merchants Group and Country Garden, is located in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong. It will feature a Caribbean-themed coastal tourist resort covering an area of 1.21 million square meters.
