Enterprises in the Qidong Economic Development Zone have resumed production in an all-round way with epidemic prevention measures in place for the duration of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, according to a report published on Feb 20.

Production resumed as early as Feb 14 at Jiejie Microelectronics in the development zone. Many production lines were able to run at full capacity four days later, with precision process equipment being accurately operated to produce power electronic devices.

Jiejie Microelectronics specializes in the research and development, design, production and sales of power semiconductor chips and devices. It is equipped with an identity management (IDM) business system with advanced chip technology and packaging design, manufacturing processes and testing as its core competitiveness.

High demand for their products has prompted construction of new packaging and testing production lines and expansion of current ones. All lines are now completed and ready for use, according to You Liangping, deputy head of the company's human resources department. They are stepping up the recruitment of front-line operators to accelerate the production pace.

Production at Hanwha Q CELLS (Qidong) Co Ltd is even busier as machines were still working on the first day of the Chinese New Year. The company has more than 2,500 employees, most of whom are non-locals, and many of them stayed put during the Spring Festival holiday and contributed to continuous manufacturing of the company's solar power-related products.

Government staffs contacted large-scale enterprises in the zone before and after the holiday, offering help to solve difficulties and problems in work resumption and order fulfillment.
