A panel discussion on "strengthening and innovating social governance" was held during the fifth plenary session of the 12th Nantong Municipal Commission of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on Jan 19, with CPPCC members making various suggestions.
Cao Wei: Nantong should give full play to the leadership of the Communist Party of China in promoting the modernization of social governance. The local village and community Party committees should play a core role in this aspect.
Yin Bei: Efforts are needed to improve the efficiency of government functions, legislation, and law enforcement to create a better society ruled by law.
Niu Xi: Local mass organizations boast unique advantages in political and talent resources, which will be helpful in improving social governance.
Shi Hua: Barriers between data resources should be broken down to enhance the efficiency of data collection, processing, and use.
Huang Hairong: Comprehensive governance centers at the county, town, and village level should promote information sharing and be connected to the "smart urban management" platform as soon as possible.
