In a bid to promote easy access to government services via one website in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region, the Chongchuan district administrative approval bureau signed a cooperation agreement with Shanghai Baoshan district administrative service center on Nov 27, to provide trans-regional business registration services for enterprises in the two districts.

"I don't have to go back and forth between Shanghai and Nantong to go through the procedures to change legal corporate representatives," said Cao, one of the first beneficiaries of the new system.

Cao owns a company in Chongchuan district, Nantong. To change the legal representative of the corporate body, Cao visited the special window in the Baoshan administrative service center for a consultation.

The staff member at the window told Cao that the formalities can be gone through across regions, and gave him the application forms. After a preliminary check, the special window in Baoshan immediately contacted the one in Chongchuan to exchange information on the case, and sent the materials to Chongchuan via express delivery.

After receiving the application forms, the Chongchuan bureau promptly carried out the work. After examination and confirmation, the application was approved immediately and the resultant documents were sent back to Baoshan. The whole process took only one day.

In addition to business registrations, the administrative service departments of the two districts will deepen cooperation and expand the scope of "access via one website" services through information technologies and platforms, to provide guarantees for entrepreneurs in the two places.
