Nantong's Chongchuan district established a talent workstation in Hefei, East China's Anhui province on Nov 18 with the aim of attracting more high-caliber talents.

Mao Jianping, deputy district chief of Chongchuan, said that the district has a good capital investment foundation, improved investment elements, an efficient government environment and enthusiastic people. He sincerely hopes that professors, experts and high-class talents from Hefei universities and colleges will come to Chongchuan to invest in business and create a better future.

Both Dong Yu, member of the standing committee of the Party committee and vice president of Anhui University of Science & Technology, and Li Erqiang, director of the Department of Modern Mechanics, University of Science and Technology of China, spoke at the ceremony. They expressed the hope that through this event the cooperation between Hefei and Chongchuan district will be expanded to more areas and elevated to a higher level.

Six professionals were employed as "talent observers" and received the letter of appointment at the opening ceremony. They included Si Ting, a Chinese Excellent Youth and professor at the Department of Modern Mechanics of the University of Science and Technology of China, and Sun Haiding, a researcher at the School of Microelectronics of the University of Science and Technology of China.

Relevant sub-districts and departments signed a cooperation agreement on talent exchange with the School of Science of Jiangnan University, and also inked a talent project cooperation agreement with a team from the Department of Precision Machinery and Precision Instruments of the University of Science and Technology of China.
