The Chongchuan district human resources and social security bureau provided a training course on Huaiyang Cuisine cooking skills for local catering industry staff, urban unemployed and rural surplus laborers in Foping county, Hanzhong in Northwest China's Shaanxi province on Nov 7 and 8.

It is the fourth time that Chongchuan district has sent skill training courses into Foping, further promoting collaboration between Jiangsu and Shaanxi provinces and improving the culinary level of the local catering and rural tourism service industries.

In the past three years, Chongchuan and Foping have carried out extensive cooperation in education, human resources and industrial development.

"Thanks to the management idea and cooking skills learned from the trainings, I have expanded my restaurant from the former one which could only accommodate 10 people to the current one which can handle more than 200 people," said Zheng Qianchao, who took part in the training for the third time.

Not only has he expanded the scale of the restaurant, Zheng has also provided employment opportunities for 15 locals.

In July, the original Chongchuan and Gangzha districts were merged into a new Chongchuan district. Thus, the new Chongchuan district has two counterpart counties – Foping and Ningqiang in Shaanxi province.

After the training in Foping ended, the Chongchuan delegation also visited Ningqiang to hold a dedicated job fair. In addition to on-site recruitment, livestreaming and online registration were also adopted.
