Free admission to Changjiang Medical Botanical Garden

Visitors under 15 years old or above 65 years old will receive free admission to Changjiang Medical Botanical Garden in Rugao, Nantong during the upcoming National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 8, local media reported.
The first 50 adult tourists each day will also have the chance to pick persimmons for free, with a limit of six persimmons per person.
Located in the Changqingsha Island Ecological scenic area, the garden's 333-hectare land area is overflowing with beautiful scenery. The sea of blooming zinnia makes it an ideal autumn getaway.
A road lined with hundred-year-old gingko trees leads up to the northern entrance of the scenic area.
Fifteen varieties of honeysuckle from across the country cover an area of 33 hectares in the garden.
Not far from the honeysuckle area, many aromatic plants can be found, including peonies, roses, rosemaries, gardenias and azaleas. The smell of fresh flowers permeates every inch of the garden.
The garden has a water area of more than 53 hectares, including Changsheng Lake and numerous streams. Ducks and geese can be seen by the waterside, while crabs and fishes can be found in the water.
Visitors will also see a herd of deer running through the woodland and will even have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery on horseback.
For visitors who wish to stay overnight, wooden waterside villas will be available.
