With red and black bodies and compact shapes, dozens of shared electric bicycles debuted at the Qidong High-tech Industrial Development Zone on Sept 1. They were placed near supermarkets, residence communities, parks, and enterprises in the development zone.

The zone has 454 enterprises and nearly 25,000 non-local employees. In a bid to provide convenience for enterprises workers and residents as they travel and to make up for the shortage of public transport, the zone introduced 3,000 shared electric bicycles manufactured by Qidong QDGo Intelligent Technology Co Ltd.

They will be put into use by stages to enable a livable environment and promote the environmental protection concept of "travel through green, low carbon and sharing ways".
