There are hundreds of ways to enjoy summer vacation, one of which is to attend a calligraphy class to learn about traditional Chinese culture, as some children in Xichang sub-district, Hai'an, Nantong recently did.

Xichang was hailed by the former Jiangsu culture department as the "home of folk art". It is not only famous for its calligraphy education, but also for its promotion of Peking Opera.

Xichang Primary School is the first school in Hai’an to offer Peking Opera classes taught by professional performers.
