Night book fair kicks off in Chongchuan

As a part of the 17th Nantong Taofen Reading Festival, the second Haobin summer night book fair was launched in Chongchuan district on Aug 21.
Jointly sponsored by the publicity department of Nantong municipal Party committee, the municipal press and publication bureau and other departments of Chongchuan district, the fair aims to support the development of physical bookstores in Nantong and further create a good atmosphere for public reading.
The results of the awards represented by the 2020 Most Beautiful Bookstore in Jiangsu province were announced at the launch ceremony.
Zhang Weiming, head of Chongchuan district publicity department, said that in addition to laying equal emphasis on epidemic prevention and control and economic development, Chongchuan district also pays attention to guaranteeing people's reading needs.
By virtue of the advantages of networks and new media, a series of online reading activities and platforms proved popular among readers.
Nine physical bookstores represented by Xinhua Bookstore were invited to attend the fair. What's more, a string of reading promotion activities such as winning book coupons through guessing lantern riddles were launched at the site. Readers of different ages had access to their favorite books on the fair.
