A working conference on internet news and information service licensing of county-level integrated media centers in Jiangsu province was held in Nanjing on July 22.

During the conference, the provincial internet information office released a list of 32 county-level integrated media centers approved to obtain the service license. The only unit in Qidong granted the license was the Qidong Integrated Media Center.

Established and put into operation in September 2019, the center brought together media and network resources such as broadcasting, television, a newspaper, a website and WeChat, and built a system including planning, interviews, editing and distribution to a high standard.

Centering on the iQidong APP and using its website and platforms such as a WeChat official account, Weibo and Douyin (also known as TikTok), as carriers, the integrated media center has formed a work pattern of picking up information once, making multiple news products and spreading them through multimedia. It is inspired to become a new mainstream media outlet that integrates public opinion guidance, news promotion, information releases, public services and other functions.
