In recent years the Nantong government has attached great importance to the development of the information technology (IT) application innovation industry and promoted construction of Nantong IT Application Innovation Park.

Located in Chongchuan district, the park, also known as Yangtze River Area Cyber Security Industrial Park, was officially established on March 6. It focuses on enterprise cultivation, technology research and development, platform construction and personnel training, and plans to introduce 500 industrial enterprises and to reach 100 billion yuan in industrial scale by 2025.

The park has connected with over 40 enterprises in Shanghai, Beijing and other major cities since late April and signed 43 projects, according to Zhang Wugen, deputy director of the Chongchuan Development and Reform Commission (DRC). Financial and policy support have been provided to encourage the joint development of industrial chains and enterprises.

The park has always insisted on a service-oriented concept as it promotes investment. Supporting industries and facilities have been planned at the beginning of planning and construction to create a comfortable and convenient business and living environment for enterprises and employees.

The park is connected with several universities including Southeast University, and has discussed in detail with them how to establish local research institutes and to cooperate in the training of network security talents. The first online training has already started and will be gradually transferred to the park.

"In the next stage, with the further improvement of related industrial policies in Chongchuan, the park will not only attract a batch of industrial enabling and service platforms, but also bring in local IT application innovation enterprises, universities and research institutes, services and professional talents," said Jiang Yongliang, director of the Chongchuan DRC.
