A folk art exhibition opened on May 26 at the Literary and Art Gallery in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.

The event was hosted by the publicity department of the Nantong Party committee and the city's federation of literary and art circles. It is meant to inspire people amidst the novel coronavirus outbreak and will run until May 30.

On display are 57 works donated by local artists in early February. The works include embroideries, blue calico, banyao whistling kites, wood carvings, paper cuttings, jade carvings, paintings, calligraphy, and more.

All works will be available for purchase at a charity bazaar in the near future and the money raised will be used to help prevent and control the epidemic.
