Langshan Forest Park launches tree adoption activity
Langshan National Forest Park in Nantong launched a tree adoption activity on March 10 to celebrate the upcoming Chinese Arbor Day, or Tree Planting Day, which falls on March 12 each year.

2. Adoption choices
Participants can choose any kind of tree they like at adoption areas in Langshan Mountain, Nantong Botanical Garden, Seyuan Garden and Junshan Mountain. A wide range of species including plum trees, cherry trees, peach trees, camphor trees, maple trees and ginkgo trees are available.
The following list might be helpful to anyone unsure of what type of tree they'd like to adopt:
1. Adoption procedures
(1) Sign up for the activity by phone or on-site
(2) Sign an agreement which specifies the species, number, location and cost of the tree
(3) Pay the adoption fee in accordance with the agreement and confirm relevant information, such as the words you wish to be hung on the tree.
(4) Hang adoption plates. Plates will be hung on the adopted trees which feature the names of the adopters and their wishes (no more than eight words). Adopters should confirm the labeling date with the park three to four days in advance.
(5) The park will set up files for adopted trees and issue commemorative certificates to adopters.
2. Preferential policies
(1) The first 50 visitors to buy three annual tickets at one time can adopt a tree free of charge.
(2) The first 20 visitors to share the adoption ad to their WeChat moments, have 99 likes and register on-site can adopt a tree at a discounted price of 99 yuan ($14.27).
(3) In honor of medical workers fighting on the frontlines of the epidemic, the park is offering free plum trees to medical workers who present their vocational certificates during the activity.
