Rudong promotes loans for enterprises as they resume operations
Rudong county in Nantong, Jiangsu province is introducing loans for enterprises having difficulty resuming operations amid the outbreak of novel coronavirus.
Jiangsu Roda Electron Material Co, based in Rudong county, produces copper-clad plates, which are essential to many electronic products. However, the company was not able to handle loan procedures as planned due to the virus outbreak.
After hearing from Bao Xiaojian, general manager of the company, the county's bureau of financial supervision and administration promptly contacted the relevant departments, a local financial institution, and Bank of Jiangsu.
The company received a total of 5 million yuan ($720,835) two days later, helping it increase productivity. Three of the company's automatic production lines are currently operating at full capacity.
Rudong Dun'an Labor Protective Products Co and Nantong Jiechuan Security Equipment Co have also increased output with the help of loans from Rudong Rural Commercial Bank.
In addition, Rudong Dun'an Labor Protective Products Co has increased its daily output of face masks from 10,000 to 50,000 after it was able to purchase needed raw materials.
Rudong Rural Commercial Bank handled 162 loans worth 326 million yuan in February, while financial institutions throughout the county offered 760 million yuan in loans to enterprises.
