Nantong industrial park gears up for fight against novel coronavirus

Hengli (Nantong) Textile Advanced Material Industrial Park in Nantong has spared no effort in contributing to the battle being waged nationally against the novel coronavirus outbreak, the Nantong Daily reported on Feb 3.
The park, focusing on the production of raw materials of protective clothing, resumed operations early during the Spring Festival holiday, in order to help relieve the shortage of medical supplies nationwide.
According to a park spokesman, it has been strict in the prevention of the epidemic spread, despite the urgent need of the workforce.
All workers coming from outside the city have been required to undergo a 14-day quarantine before returning to their posts. Indoor areas, including offices and plants are strictly disinfected every day, with the air circulation facilitated.
Hengli Group, its parent company, donated 100 million yuan ($14.35 million) on Jan 27 to Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province and the city hardest hit by the epidemic in China.
Construction of the park started in November 2011 and to date it has received 20 billion yuan in total investment. It boasts intelligent textile manufacturing equipment and advanced internet and internet of things technologies.
Upon completion, it is expected to be one of the world's largest fiber production centers, in terms of production capacity and product categories.
