Chongchuan supports SMEs affected by virus outbreak
Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has recently issued supporting policies to help reduce the impacts on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
To control the virus epidemic, enterprises have been asked to delay resuming production, which could lead to financial problems and operating challenges for SMEs.
Local financing and guarantee institutions have been encouraged to strengthen their support for SMEs, and some institutions can receive rewards from the district government for their efforts.
Online consultations and targeted support are being offered to enterprises encountering difficulties.
SMEs affected by the virus outbreak can receive a maximum of 200,000 yuan ($28,563) in financial support. Rents on factory buildings for these enterprises are expected to be reduced based on negotiations with owners.
