An entrepreneur association of teaching facilities was established in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Jan 18.
Qidong Computer Co, established in 1984, produced the first single-chip computer in China, and a number of the company's employees have been dispatched to 34 provincial-level administrative regions around the country in order to promote the company's products.
China's improved business environment and industrial chains are largely a result of the great efforts of over 100 Qidong entrepreneurs who have opened businesses around China. It is these entrepreneurs who founded the new entrepreneur association.
The association consists of members from 53 different councils, and its annual output is valued at around 1.5 billion yuan ($218.69 million). It focuses on international cooperation under the guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The association has exported Chinese teaching facilities to several foreign countries, including Thailand, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Cambodia, and more. It also engages in technological cooperation with these countries.
Shi Jiankang, the newly-elected chairman of the association, said that a variety of resources are expected to help facilitate the continued development of teaching facilities in Qidong.
