The China-Italy Hai'an Ecological Park in Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, was included on a list of "provincial international cooperative industrial parks" which was recently published by the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province.

The park, covering an area of 12.15 square kilometers, consists of an ecological production demonstration center, a research and innovation area, an industrial development area, and a low-carbon area.

It focuses on five major industries: precision machinery, textiles and silk, high-end household furniture, energy reduction and environmental protection, and ecofriendly agriculture. It is expected to begin promoting its products in Europe in the near future with the help of its current partner, Italy.

The park is dedicated to developing itself into a world-class ecological industrial park, a bilateral economic and trade cooperation demonstration area, and one of China's key equipment manufacturing centers.
