Seven automatic sorting lines were recently introduced at the second section of the Nantong logistics center of SF Express, which will begin operating in March.

Construction on the center was divided into two sections. The first section was put into use in August 2013 and is capable of processing 7,200 large packages per hour.

The second section started construction in November 2017 and has received more than 450 million yuan ($64.53 million) in investment. It includes two sorting centers and one office building, and has a total floor area of 63,400 square meters.

It will be equipped with seven automatic sorting lines and one small package sorting system capable of handling 70,000 packages per hour.

The center, located in the Nantong Airport Logistics Park, has developed four routes including those to Xi'an, Shaanxi province, Shenyang, Jilin province, and Kunming, Yunnan province.

After completion of the second section, the center is expected to become a new logistics hub of SF Express in East China.
