Enterprise representatives seek cooperation in Rudong
A promotional fair on investment environment was held in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province on Dec 16, inviting 33 representatives from Chinese enterprises in Russia, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, and China.
The representatives visited several local industrial parks and enterprises, exploring the investment advantages and suitable projects in the county. During the visit, many enterprises showed great interest in investing in Rudong.

Rudong has concentrated innovative resources, developed logistics systems, and promising markets, as it is located in the core economic circle in the Yangtze River Delta Region and in the Shanghai metropolitan area.
The county is also a key point in several major national strategies, such as the Belt and Road Initiative, the integration of Yangtze River Delta Region, and Jiangsu's coastal development. It has proven to be a good place for foreign and domestic investment.
To date, branches of 17 Fortune Global 500 enterprises and a number of state-owned companies have been operating in the county. A series of important projects that are valued over 10 billion yuan ($1.43 billion) each have also been carried out.
Rudong's regional domestic product is expected to exceed 100 billion yuan for the first time this year, with a higher growth rate than other districts and counties in Nantong. It ranks 41st among the national top 100 competitive counties, according to an official list issued recently.
Chen Huiyu, head of Rudong county, said that in addition to capital and advanced technologies, the managerial experience brought by foreign businessmen will promote industrial upgrading, help create more job opportunities, facilitate technological innovation, and contribute to local economic development.
He expressed hope that foreign investors can further their cooperation with Rudong with the help of preferential policies and high-quality services offered by the local government.
